As the host of The Western Massachusetts Democrat , I want to welcome you to our new on-line home! Formerly the Franklin County Democrat, I wanted to change the name of our program to reflect two very important things: first, that our viewership is much wider than just Franklin County (we are seen on many local-access television stations across Western Massachusetts) and second, the topics discussed and leaders interviewed on our program have wide and varied impact on all concerned in Western Massachusetts. It is our sincere hope that your participation in this website and our monthly program can develop new and interesting relationships that will educate and inform us all about Democratic politics within our Great Commonwealth . About Our Host*
Joseph A. Gochinski was elected to the position of Register of Deeds of Franklin County, Massachusetts , in November 2006. Joe also served for 12 years as Precinct 2 Town Councilor in Greenfield , under two forms of Government. Joe is a lifelong Greenfield resident, graduate of local schools and Greenfield Community College .
